Saturday

2nd July

lovely day out - just right for sitting in the garden, warm with a gentle breeze

Wednesday

29th June

Yesterday we had thunderstorms
Today its nicely sunny, not too hot. Just right.

My rambler roses appear to have rambled right up into next door's tree - and can't remember if I said, but there are hazel nuts forming on my hazel tree. Little clusters of three or four green nuts with little green leaf coats.  Have to watch that the squirrels don't get them!

The tree was given to me by the widower of my best friend, Hazel, soon after she passed away (nine years ago) It lived in a pot for a couple of years because it was only a tiny sapling. Now, planted in the garden it is a beautiful tree - and a fitting memory to a dear friend who I miss very, very, much.

Monday

27th June
